Rules:
1. Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
2. Turn to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post that sentence along with these instructions in your journal (and just the sentence in my comments).
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.
----- Silicates are not easily soluble in acid and many leave a skeletal silica outline of the grain when the compound is dissolved in a salt of phosphorus bead.

SCATTERGORIES... it's easier with an M!
Use the 1st letter of your name to answer each of the following... they have to be real places, names, things... nothing made up! Try to use different answers if the person in front of you had the same 1st initial.
(WHICH BY THE WAY IS HARD IF YOU ALREADY READ THEIR ANSWERS) You can't use your name for the boy/girl.
1. What is your name: Meghan
2. 4 letter word: Muck 3. Vehicle: Moterbike 4. City: Montreal 5. Boy Name: Mark 6. Girl Name: Matilda 7. Alcoholic drink: Margerita 8. Occupation: Mercenary 9. Something you wear: Moccasins 10. 11:39 pm - mystery outcrops
|
Where did the pesky things come from! I think they must have been asexually reproducing in my notebook. But 3 of them..? SERIOUSLY. Also, where on earth did 60-80m of rock go?? Can't have vanished can it?? So which outcrops are impostors? Who do I cull?
Hmmmm....
I think I need sleep, pretty soon the volcanic breccia will start turning into conglomerate and all the fossils from the dead zone will rise up as an undead bivalve army with clacking shells and belemnite commanders and they will come and pinch my toes with murderous intent!
I am going to have peculiar dreams now aren't I?

7:01 am - Sleep, please?
|
I can't make it through final exams without you, sleep. I can feel myself getting dumber every day after each sleepless night. I'm going to get sick or I'm going to get so dysfunctional from sleep deprivation that I may as well be. I'm trying to avoid caffeine in the evenings, take some time to calm down before going to bed, eat properly. I tried reading myself to sleep, I just read until my eyelids were so heavy I couldn't keep them open, expectantly put down the book, closed my eyes... and just lay there. If I was really fretting about something I could understand it, but at this point I am too tired and confused to even know if I am supposed to be stressed about something. The most hopeful solution, I think, is exercise,it did work at least one night... stupid gym closing early last night.
But, honestly sleep, what did I do to you? Just forgive and forget, eh? Please come back to me.

10:27 am - For Genevieve
|
A post of un-matched unridiculousness.
I woke up this morning and discussed the weather with Christopher on the telephone.
I am currently eating breakfast, and will soon be drinking coffee.
Today I plan to go skiing, and then later I plan to study calculus and physics and possibly work on my poster project.
Then I intend to go to bed at a reasonable hour so as to be well rested to do schoolwork tommorow.
I am in a good mood.
Goodbye.

7:35 pm - Undone by my great need to bother beth
|
MEME Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it*. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.
-stolen from Beth
*I reserve the right to take as long as I need for research, though I will make an honest attempt at it - some things I just know/think less about! .... I just couldn't leave well enough alone

9:52 am - rambles & sad fiddles
|
Can you fix a broken thing? Take a fiddle, harsh and shallow toned And give to it Deep singing voice When touched by a trained hand? Or would the hand True enough to make it well Find a better thing to play?
And a fiddle, cannot teach itself to sing But if a fiddle could Would that voice grow sweeter As it lay, trembling, lonely in its case Begging the bow To touch it's strings and let it try To learn beauty
And if the fiddle, Failing to teach itself to sing Could dream Would it's sleep fill With fantasies of wondrous song Torn wildly from its throat by loving hands Only to wake And know that it's voice Is not sweet.
Also, it is still snowing, yayness!

10:48 pm - Calling all Lords and Ladies of the Realm
|
To all Lords and Ladies of the Realm, you are cordially invited to the coming into society ball of Meghan Sarah Ineson of Kline in honor of the young lady’s 22nd birthday. Calling all corners of the kingdom to celebrate at Chateau Kline upon the 14th of July, Saturn’s day, starting at 1:00pm and going long into the night.
Come for a day of theatrics, games, and battle –there are rumors that trouble stirs between the various factions of the kingdom- (don’t worry it is all with foam covered swords so no-one will be getting hurt) and stay for a night of music and revelry so all musicians are of course encouraged to bring their instruments and be ready to perform. Please also bring libations of alcohol to lubricate the evening’s festivities.
This is of course a costume affair so come dressed up to represent your faction…
From the island of Gambiar, visit the wild folk elves and fairies, who plan to grace us with their presence upon this day.
Also present of course will be those loyal to the crown: the Royalists (any fantasy warrior theme works well here as well as Greco-Roman, Alice in Wonderland or anything else magnificent and silly that your imagination can conjure up that will not overly hamper your capacity to participate in the events of the day).
Hailing from the high seas we have the Loyal and Trustworthy band of Pirates led by Captain Christopheles the Two-Faced.
Also visiting are the numerous undead who nightly haunt the realm: Zombies, Necromancers and Goths.
Please RSVP, and e-mail (morgana_freaky@hotmail.com) me to ask for directions, and of course, do not fail to mention to which faction you are beholden: Pirates, Fairies and elves, Royalists, or Zombies, Goths and Necromancers.
If you enjoy rampant silliness and/ or would like to help me celebrate my 22nd birthday please come out. I can also provide help with costumes if needed so long as you let me know a-head of time.
